About the role

Boeing Defence Australia is delivering critical defence capability across Australia and New Zealand through innovative engineering and trusted technical support.

We are seeking an experienced Technical and Aircrew Publications Specialist to support the Air Combat Electronic Attack Sustainment Program (ACEASP).

Based at RAAF Base Amberley near Ipswich, Queensland, you will be part of a collaborative team responsible for planning, coordinating, creating, and releasing specialised Technical and Aircrew Publications and program-related artefacts. This role requires a strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality outcomes, along with the discipline to work to process, meet commitments, and positively influence team and program performance.

Responsibilities

As a Technical and Aircrew Publications Specialist, you will:

  • Be responsible for the development of multiple publication elements, ensuring work is delivered with accuracy, consistency, and first-time quality.
  • Create and release specialised Technical and Aircrew Publications and program-related artefacts in line with required standards and schedules.
  • Actively assist in the development of management plans and work instructions to support compliance, quality, and achievement of scheduled deliverables.
  • Liaise with Defence customers and key stakeholders to understand priorities, system safety concerns, and publication schedules, while building strong and effective working relationships.
  • Conduct quality and in-process reviews and validate technical and aircrew publications to ensure adherence to processes and requirements.
  • Manage competing priorities effectively, remaining composed under pressure and meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.

Experience/Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience within an aviation environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organise, and prioritise activities to achieve defined objectives while maintaining adherence to policy and procedure.
  • Strong accountability and ownership in delivering outcomes that positively impact team and program performance.
  • Proven capability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, to engage, inform, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members, customers, and stakeholders.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high standard of first-time quality.

Eligibility: 

Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet Defence security requirements and must be willing to undergo the standard government vetting process, including a full life background check. BDA will sponsor and support the required clearance process.
