Boeing Defence Australia -Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team, are seeking experienced Aviation Maintenance (145 / MRO) Professionals to support the F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler platform in the Modification and Deeper Level maintenance facility at RAAF Base Amberley. Be part of a team that is at the cutting edge of new emerging technologies and upgrades of military assets. Collaborate with the Department of Defence and other Defence industry partners to advance the nations defensive capabilities.

About the Role

As a BDA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you and your team will be responsible for the maintenance, modification, servicing, and troubleshooting of the F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler aircraft systems, whilst ensuring compliance with regulations and mentorship of subordinate technicians.

Working within a safety-critical aviation environment, your responsibilities will include:

  • Aircraft avionics and electrical inspections, repairs, testing and troubleshooting
  • Removal and replacement of aircraft avionic components
  • Aircraft capability improvement and modification activities
  • Interpretation of engineering drawings, technical publications and technical data
  • Completion of maintenance documentation and certification activities
  • Compliance with safety, quality and airworthiness requirements

What You'll Bring

Essential

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)
  • Demonstrated experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics
  • Experience performing aircraft avionics repairs in a regulated aviation environment
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, repair instructions and technical manuals
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality and compliance
  • High attention to detail and workmanship standards
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience in deep maintenance, heavy maintenance or depot-level maintenance environments
  • Military Aviation Maintenance License (MAML)
  • Experience working under DASR, CASA or equivalent aviation regulatory frameworks
