The Opportunity

Do you want to be part of the team designing, developing, producing and testing the MQ-28 Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA)? The Boeing MQ-28 Program is developing a globally-significant force multiplier platform that will deliver a disruptive advantage for future Defence capability.

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is currently looking for capable and driven Network / System Administrators to join the team currently supporting the development and execution of the MQ-28 program's test environment. The role is based in Brisbane/Amberley, with deployment opportunities providing the successful applicant with front-line exposure to the MQ-28 Ghost Bat CCA.

Responsibilities

As an MQ-28 Ground Systems Field Service Representative you will:

  • Work as part of the team that build, deploy and support the Ground Control Stations (GCS) and other essential ground-based systems for MQ-28 Cooperative Combat Aircraft (CCA) operations
  • Provide direct support to training, ground test and flight operations within the GCS
  • Work with engineers, operators, customers and be an integral part of the developmental team
  • Assemble, configure, test, operate and disassemble networking equipment in the field
  • Develop and mature operational documentation
  • Periodically travel to remote test sites to support operations

Experience / Qualifications

As an MQ-28 Ground Systems Field Service Representative within BDA, you will have:

  • A background in Information Technology network / system administration, ideally with field experience building and operating networked computer systems such as combat systems, air traffic control and/or simulations with operator in/on the loop
  • Experience in Defence ICT infrastructure, ideally with experience in cryptographic devices and military communications equipment
  • Familiarity with multiple computer hardware environments as well as the accompanying software/system
  • Strong collaboration and problem solving skills
  • Minimum NV1 security clearance with the ability to upgrade to NV2

Relocation will be considered for the right applicant.
