The Opportunity

The Boeing MQ-28 - Ghost Bat is a globally significant program delivering disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities. Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years. In line with the global ambitions of the aircraft it is also the first (and currently only) CCA globally to fly outside of the country in which it was designed.

MQ-28 is expanding globally with international customers and international suppliers and partner network. These ambitions require a Supplier Execution Lead on MQ28 Campaigns that facilitates supporting the futures and campaigns team in building relationships with international suppliers in support of future MQ28 international customers.

This role will have responsibility for the MQ28 supplier execution lead activities including leading negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions. Preparing and executing negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements. This is a key supply chain execution lead role and we are seeking applicants who possess the following attributes:

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and executing the supplier contracting strategy across MQ28 related campaign(s)
  • Leading the development of sourcing strategies
  • Leading the creation and management of strategic supplier partnerships
  • Leading small but effective supply chain team and stakeholders
  • Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions and prepares negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements
  •  Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions. 
  • Integrating with stakeholders across the MQ28 Campaign team, and teams in Australia and the US and internationally

Experience/Qualifications

  • 10 years + experience in a strategic supply chain environment.
  • Contracting experience with complex Strategic Categories
  • Tertiary or other formal qualifications and experience in a relevant field (desirable)
  • Experience in senior roles within a matrix organisation (desirable)
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
