The Mission

Lead the security strategy for a generational leap in defence capability. As the Lead Product Security Analyst for the MQ-28 program, you will occupy a high-visibility role, bridging the gap between complex autonomous engineering and sovereign regulatory requirements. You goal will be to leverage security compliance frameworks and risk management processes to secure and enable the MQ-28 Program mission

The Challenge

Securing an autonomous aircraft requires more than standard enterprise GRC. You will lead the development of the program's Certification and Authorisation Plan, navigating the complex landscape of Commonwealth stakeholders and requirements. This role demands superb technical and thought leadership as well as the ability influence both internal engineering teams and critical external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Governance: Drive the end-to-end GRC lifecycle for the entire MQ-28 program, ensuring security is a primary enabler of mission success.
  • Authorisation Leadership: Act as a key liaison with major stakeholders, including our Commonwealth Customer and Authorisation Authorities (DCIAB, HQAC ISA), to secure cyber authorization to operate for all MQ-28 high assurance systems.
  • Program-Wide Oversight: Lead the development and execution of the Certification and Authorisation Plan, translating complex technical designs into assessable compliance documentation against relevant industry frameworks such as NIST and the ISM.
  • Risk Orchestration: Translate complex technical risks into actionable governance strategies that protect the program's timeline and its mission objectives.

What You Bring

  • The Expertise: Extensive experience in Cyber Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), ideally within a high-complexity defence or critical infrastructure context.
  • The Influence: Proven ability to provide technical leadership and manage high-level stakeholder relationships with government and regulatory bodies.
  • The Knowledge: A deep understanding of the ISM, NIST, and the complexities of certifying autonomous or highly integrated systems.

The Environment

  • Location: Brisbane (4 days/week in-office to facilitate critical coordination with engineering stakeholders, program leadership and the Customer).
