The opportunity
We are seeking a talented Sub-contracts Specialist to support the MQ28 Subcontracts team. The role can be based in Brisbane, Amberley, Adelaide or Melbourne.
Responsibilities:
As part of a highly collaborative and motivated team, you will:
- be the focal point for your suppliers and program stakeholders, and provide guidance and advice to the program on all aspects of your suppliers' commercial, contractual and production capabilities.
- be responsible for leading supplier contracting activities, including developing and managing timely and high-quality supplier procurements, leading to contract administration/execution and order management.
- be a champion for your suppliers internally, and manage a close working relationship with your suppliers as an Authorised Procurement Agent for Boeing Defence Australia;
- contribute directly to the success of the MQ-28 supply chain and the production of this world-leading capability.
- Exercise appropriate signature authority in negotiating and contracting for the procurement of products, services, technologies, financing and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies.
- Create and manage Requests for Quote to suppliers, and evaluate/negotiate supplier contracts.
- Represent the company in external negotiations to a diverse set of suppliers;
- Authority to prepare, negotiate, execute, interpret and administer legally binding complex contractual agreements for Boeing;
- Coordinate and partner with other internal functional disciplines.
- Alongside other Supplier Management professionals; support a structured risk management process including the development of mitigation plans in a proactive, solution-focused environment.
Experience/Qualifications
- Formal qualifications in a related discipline (Law, Accounting, Business or Supply Chain Management).
- At least 3 years' experience in procurement, contracting or contract management roles;
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, contract management, and procurement throughout the full end-to-end lifecycle;
- Demonstrated skills in analysis of supply chain procurements;
- Strong planning and organizational skills;
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and management skills;
- Desirable
- Strong commercial acumen
- Demonstrated experience in formulating innovative contractual and commercial acquisition and sustainment strategies for supplier procurements;
- Up to date knowledge of IP, liabilities, insurance, indemnities, pricing and procurement concepts
