Boeing is taking another bold step in aerospace and advanced manufacturing.  MQ28 is the first military aircraft to be designed, engineered and manufactured in Australia in more than 50 years.  This unmanned teaming aircraft is Boeing's first military aircraft to be designed and developed outside the U.S. and uses artificial intelligence to extend the capabilities of manned and unmanned platforms.  This cutting-edge project is aiming to unlock global defence and aerospace opportunities for Boeing and Queensland.

The Boeing MQ-28 Ghost Bat is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities.  As we continue to accelerate the development program, and deliver the initial block of aircraft, we are seeking the very best talent from a diverse range of backgrounds to help grow and contribute to our innovative team.

The opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking an Integrated Planning & Scheduling Team Lead to support the advanced MQ-28 Ghost Bat program. In this role you will use your extensive project planning expertise and analytical skills to lead a multidisciplinary team through the full lifecycle of establishing manufacturing capability, whether within Boeing or across the Australian supply base. We are looking for a proactive leader who embraces our company values and is committed to innovation.

This role is based in Brisbane.

  • Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships to capture requirements, define objectives and support decision- making.
  • Provide technical oversight and approval of planning approaches, products and processes; act as subject matter lead for planning tools and methods.
  • Support resource and capacity planning, production rate readiness studies and schedule-driven cost/scope trade-off analysis.
  • Drive process improvements, adopt digital tools and enable best-practice planning across the program.
  • Assist with performance recovery plans and ensure project control systems are in place and effective.
  • Support other projects within the MQ-28 program portfolio and ensure safety, regulatory and engineering compliance.
  • Apply advanced analytical skills to collect, synthesise and interpret schedule and performance data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships across internal and external stakeholders to enable program success.
  • Demonstrate business acumen with knowledge of Boeing processes, program planning artefacts and the competitive environment.
  • Apply critical thinking to evaluate alternatives and make strategic recommendations aligned to long-range program objectives.
  • Lead digital-enabled process improvements and leverage scheduling tools to increase visibility and decision quality.
  • Provide integrated master planning expertise (IMP/IMS/High Level Flow/DRIVE of deliverable & responsibility workbooks) and apply methods to analyse impacts across development and production time fences.
  • Apply project management theory (including critical path methodology, theory of constraints and PMBOK concepts) to schedule development and risk management.
  • Lead project scheduling and resource management activities, ensuring schedules identify key milestones, resource requirements and deliverable accountability.
  • Provide leadership to the planning function, delegate tasks, and support development of less senior planners
