The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) are seeking a Production Quality Engineer to join the MQ‑28 Ghost Bat Production Facility currently being built at Wellcamp Toowoomba, QLD.
As the Production Quality Engineer you will support the Qualification of new products and processes at the new facility.

What you'll get to do:
- Lead integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of program processes and documentation
- Develop quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements
- Develop Quality criteria, conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities
- Develop and select methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
- Support the Qualification of first of type products in a new production facility in Toowoomba
- Prepare, conduct & produce First Article Inspections Reports (FAIR)
- Facilitate in Failure Mode Evaluation Analysis (FMEA) for new production parts
- Collaborate with the wider business Quality function, reporting in on metrics and findings
- Support Quality Production Specialists in their roles
- Perform benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
- This role may involve some initial travel between Brisbane, Melbourne, Wacol & Toowoomba for training & familiarity purposes.
Who we're looking for:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline (Highly desirable).
- Part/process qualification/certification experience
- Hands on experience in an aerospace or similar advanced assembly/fabrication type environment
- Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) knowledge Experience leading teams in a high-pressure, fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across geographically dispersed teams.
