The Opportunity 

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking a Warehouse Store Person and Stock Controller to join the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) Program.  Looking for an analytical skilled individual to evaluate part requirements against scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance tasks and manage stock provisioning levels to support future activities.  The successful candidate will also assist with warehouse activities if required and will have in-depth knowledge and experience in all aspects of warehousing and distribution in support of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team, this will involve receipt, dispatch and related warehousing and distribution support activities.

As a Warehouse Store Person and Stock Controller within BDA you will;

  • Analyse supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities
  • Perform data entry of material orders.
  • Evaluate planning data for parts requirement determination.
  • Perform analysis of supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities, capacity and performance.
  • Responsible for managing communications to supplier and customers.
  • Manage inventory to ensure appropriate levels of accountability and traceability.
  • Raising inventory requisitions for the request of inventory spares.
  • Managing third party owned repairable items.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory in the Inventory management System (IMS) - accountable for cataloguing new inventory, tracking existing inventory, maintaining quality documentation and disposition of assets.
  • Be responsible for Shelf Life management as it pertains to stock level determination.
  • Deliver against the Program strategic objectives.
  • Deliver on commitments and plan to succeed.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in supply support roles and functions.
  • Demonstrated experience with computerised inventory management systems and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of, business software and measurement system tools, processes and methodologies.
  • A satisfactory level of physical fitness, required to perform certain levels of manual tasking.
  • Ability to work under general supervision and exercise discretion where required.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the supply chain and wider BDA team.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Forklift Operators license preferred but not essential.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet Defence security requirements, and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline level security clearance.
