The Opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking Aircraft Life Support Technicians to join the AH-64 Apache sustainment and support team.  In this role you will be tasked with repair and modification of the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter ALSE suite.

Program overview

The AH-64E Apache program provides advanced attack helicopter capability to the Australian Defence Force, enabling precision strike, armed reconnaissance and close air support. This program sustains a critical combat capability, supports interoperability with coalition partners, and underpins Australia's land and joint operations.

Who we're looking for

  • Must hold a Cert IV in Aeronautical Life Support Equipment (or equivalent).
  • Apache Aircraft Familiarisation (CoA Provided).
  • A minimum of five years of military or commercial aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Maintain and manufacture soundproofing, soft furnishings and aircraft flooring (highly desirable).
  • Explosive ordnance (highly desirable).
  • Experience with ADF products and processes on larger aircraft or rotary wing platforms (desirable).

Security requirement

  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.

These roles are expected to commence in July 2026 and September 2026

  • The role is based in Townsville, with the Army's 16 Aviation Support Battalion (16 ASB).
