The Opportunity

We are seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team supporting Deeper Level Maintenance (DLM) Services on the P8-A Poseidon platform at Royal Australian Air Force Base Edinburgh.

The Maintenance Coordinator maintains effective communications between all relevant stakeholders to enable effective and achievable aircraft delivery and induction goals to be set and achieved while managing Boeing's relationship with the Commonwealth of Australia's S&RG and Operating Squadron representatives.

 Responsibilities

• Coordinating the maintenance requirements for DLM Services, both scheduled and unscheduled.
• Developing processes as required to improve work flow/performance.
• Develop effective work practices and appropriate personal conduct to build and strengthen customer relationships.
• Maintain effective communications between all relevant stakeholders to enable effective and achievable aircraft delivery and induction goals to be set.
• Implement the required production management procedures and practices, using the appropriate tools, to ensure the effective induction and delivery of aircraft to set timelines with agility and team strategic focus.

Experience/Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Demonstrated ability to lead and co-ordinate solutions across key internal and external Aircraft Maintenance customer groups.
• Demonstrated experience in communicating and negotiating with Commonwealth personnel.
• Experience in managing Commonwealth maintenance procedures, including aircraft maintenance documentation - maintenance release for flight test.
• Suitable aero-skills qualification to enable eligibility for authorisation as a maintenance manager.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritise work.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• Australian Citizenship eligibility for the Department of Defence security clearance.

Highly desirable criteria

(One or more of the below desirable criteria preferred, but not essential)

• Aviation maintenance experience on the P-8A Poseidon or other similar military platforms
• Experience in Aircraft Maintenance Documentation and Maintenance Information Systems (CAMM2 or similar)
• Experience in leading large to medium Aircraft Maintenance teams
• Experience in Aviation Maintenance Coordination and Aircraft release processes
• Be able to meet the requirements to hold a DASR 145 C license or equivalent
