The Opportunity
Take the lead in sustaining Australia's frontline combat helicopter capability. Boeing Defence Australia is seeking an experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join the AH-64E Apache sustainment and support team in Townsville. This is your chance to deliver mission-critical maintenance leadership on a world-class attack helicopter program that directly supports the Australian Defence Force.

What you'll do
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of BDA employees and subcontractors delivering technical and logistics services to 1 Aviation Regiment (RAAF Base Townsville) and Army Aviation Training Centre.
- Manage relationships with Defence stakeholders and external agencies to ensure mission alignment.
- Oversee training, competency and regulatory compliance for the maintenance workforce in a Part 145 CoA environment.
- Plan and control maintenance, from operational sorties to light-phase servicing and upgrades.
- Maintain governance, manage risk assessments for new equipment, and ensure all personnel are authorized and qualified for aircraft maintenance tasks.
About you
- Minimum 10 years' military or commercial aircraft maintenance experience.
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Avionics Engineering and/or Certificate IV in Aero Skills (Mechanical/Avionics) or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of DASR regulations, CoA exposition requirements and maintenance best practice.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
- Safety and Lead Auditor, or Aviation Safety Officer qualifications — desirable.
- Apache Type Maintenance Manager Course — CoA provided.
