The opportunity

We are seeking a talented person to lead Boeing Technology and Innovation teams researching and delivering technologies across a range of fields including autonomous systems, flight and mission systems, advanced manufacturing with many of these programs being extensively math and software centric. This role will oversee research programs in Brisbane and Melbourne and will liaise heavily with international locations, including the USA. International travel will be required sporadically.

 The role is based in Brisbane, at our UQ and Brisbane CBD facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Development of diverse software, IT and engineering solutions
  • Development, hand-over and Installation of research studies, software and hardware systems
  • Development of engineering documentation and research studies.
  • Engineer, research scientist and computer software personal management
  • Budgeting and project management
  • External collaborations with government, universities and industry

Experience/Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD is preferred and research experience in industry and academia
  • Team lead experience is required and an understanding of industry research, academic collaborations and leveraging government grants.
  • Familiarity with engineering and human factors change processes
  • Technology and knowledge hand-over/installations
