The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Team Lead to join our Brisbane Team.
Core Roles and Responsibilities
- Team lead of a high performing team ensuring Boeing values and behaviors are modelled
- Monthly forecast reporting for BDA that balances assumptions and risk (Local Reporting)
- Oversight of the consolidated monthly reporting up to US Enterprise (Orders, Revenue, Margin, Cash)
- Capital Expenditure Reporting (annual planning and monthly reporting)
- Budget management and Affordability Target setting for Overhead cost pools
- Oversight and review of annual cost rates development, corporate cash analysis
- Provide support to annual Rate Review Audit
- Coordinate and execute annual Long Range Business Planning cycle
- Optimise rate pool and cost allocation structures
- Lead EAC Review Process (Estimate at Completion)
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and support external and internal audits as needed
- Support Internal investment and affordability/what-if analysis - what range of activities can be supported within current rates, trends of cost performance, emergent capability enhancements requiring overhead support
- Risk identification, reduction and mitigation planning (including balance sheet integrity assurance)
- Lead headcount reporting inside Boeing Defence Australia and up to US Enterprise
- Corporate Holdings (BAH) oversight and support
- Lead and support Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Coverage, mentoring and support to Overhead focals as required
- Reports to FP&A Manger position. Acts as delegate for FP&A Manager when required
Technical Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. CA/CPA desirable
- 5-10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or management accounting
- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.
- Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Demonstrates an aptitude for making swift, data-driven decisions that provide clear, accurate recommendations to Executive Leadership that align to key business outcomes
