The Opportunity
The Boeing MQ-28 Ghost Bat is a globally significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities. Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) are seeking a Maintenance Advisor to join our MQ-28 Operations a& Test team. This role will report to the MQ-28 Logistics Engineering Manager and ensure delivery of maintenance advisory services across the program. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, capable of working in a diverse and geographically dispersed team in a dynamic environment.
This role can be based in Brisbane or Amberley.

The MQ-28 Maintenance Advisor is a member of the Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) Product Support, Training and Maintenance Capability. In this role you will work within the MQ-28 Product Support teams in the development and maintenance of support system solutions.
Responsibilities
Maintenance Advisor responsibilities will include:
- Act as a liaison and single point of contact for all aspects of aircraft related activities and impact to maintainability through to Program Leadership and Engineering.
- Maintainability and Deployability SME for current and future Payload design and integration activities
- Support Deployability design requirements and SME to Engineering for all transport and storage requirements.
- Support Maintainability design requirements development for all MQ-28 unique Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Support & Test Equipment (S&TE)
- Support the evaluation of all MQ-28 unique Transport, Storage, GSE and S&TE, with direct liaison with SEIT, Ground Segment, Payloads Segment, Mission Segment and Program Engineering.
- SME for AV, Mission Systems and Payloads Engineering for impacts to maintainability and deployability of the platform.
- Support the conduct of all MQ-28 unique Transport, Storage, GSE and S&TE evaluations, with direct liaison to the Support Segment Maintenance Operations Manager.
- Maintenance SME and Technical Authority for review of all Aircraft Maintenance Manual changes/updates. Direct Liaison authority between In-Service Maintenance Advisor and ILS Lead/Pubs Lead.
- Maintenance SME for review of Training Course content for all Maintenance, Ground Handling and Deployability course modules. Direct Liaison authority between In-Service Maintenance Advisor and Training Lead.
- Support Maintenance and Ground Handling Course Instruction as required within the Training Management System.
- Maintenance and Operations SME advice to Future Facility Production System Design relating to Air Vehicle Post Production operations.
- Develops and presents maintainability and deployability requirements at Design Review.
- SME for maintainability, supportability and deployability to the Support Segment Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)/Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) Teams.
- Undertakes Requirements development and review, for the Support Segment ILS Lead, as the SME. Direct Liaison authority between In-Service Maintenance Advisor and Support Segment ILS Lead.
Desirable Experience/Qualifications
To be successful you will have:
- Experience in engineering, maintenance, operational or supply support environments, or Defence knowledge desirable
- Experience in GEIA- STD-0007C, MIL-STD-1388, DEF (AUST) 5691/5692, S3000L Logistics Product Data
- Experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) such as ILS-550 RCMAR, ILS-560 Level of Repair Analysis Report (LORAR), ILS-1050 Codification Data
- Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance of NV1 (minimum).
- Current Australian Citizenship
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
