The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) are seeking Expressions of Interest for Facilities, Equipment Maintenance and Tooling professionals to join the MQ‑28 Ghost Bat Production Facility currently being built at Wellcamp Toowoomba, QLD.

Roles we're seeking expressions of interest for

• Equipment Modifications & Projects Specialist
• Tooling Technician
• Tool Store Person
• Facility Site Lead

We expect these roles to commence approximately from October 2026.

What you'll get to do:

Each of the above roles comes with its own specific skill sets with some of the tasks being listed below. It is important to consider during the early stages of recruitment a heavy focus will be on applicants who are able to lead and support the creation of new process to support the role.

• Maintain & Repair Fabrication and Assembly Tooling
• Maintain & Repair Production Equipment
• Maintain & Repair Facility Equipment

Who we're looking for:

• Tool Makers Cert III
• Fitter Machinist Cert III
• Mechanical Fitter Cert III.
• Building Trades Cert III
• Experience in Manufacturing Environments
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical problem solving and clear documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and management teams. Collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills and a drive to mentor others.
• Willingness to be based at Wellcamp with occasional travel to suppliers and Boeing sites.

Security requirement:

• Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
