The Opportunity

We are seeking a Procurement Coordinator to support the E7 division within Boeing Defence Australia. This opportunity will see you working with a team and stakeholders that employ the best talent to develop and deliver world class capabilities.

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include: 

• specialist, non-aviation and aviation purchasing tasks ranging from simple to moderate level;
• monitoring and reporting on supplier performance;
• consultation and liaison with business stakeholders to understand, plan and forecast material requirements and purchasing needs;
• coordination of repairs and shipments with third parties; and
• ongoing communication and relationship management with Supply Chain Management peers, vendors and other project stakeholders.

The successful applicant will possess the following essential attributes:

• working knowledge of procurement requirements, preferably within a manufacturing or aviation field;
• three to five years' procurement experience in a medium to large Australian organization;
• a strong work ethic, an ability to think outside the box and a willingness to collaborate and work independently within a dynamic team environment;
• a willingness to advocate for diversity and inclusion and remain involved in facilitating change; and
• Australian citizenship and an ability to undergo a defence security clearance.

 It is also desirable for the successful applicant to have: 

• APICS or CIPS membership or a procurement related tertiary qualification; and
• an understanding of the Australian defence environment.
