Boeing Defence Australia's Sustainment Operations Business is looking for an experienced Supply Item Manager to join the Air Combat Electronic Attack (ACEA) Sustainment Program Logistics Team. The Logistics team provides sustainment services to the Royal Australian Air Force's F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler fleet.

The Opportunity

This position will manage a broad range of Support & Test Equipment items used to support maintenance on the fleet of aircraft. The role will involve coordination of a number of stakeholders across the program and internationally to provide serviceable Support & Test Equipment (S&TE) to ensure maintenance can be conducted safely and compliantly.

This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley.

Responsibilities:

  • Stock Item Ownership of program S&TE
  • Identify supply chain alternatives to resolve obsolescence issues
  • Identify and resolve customer supply chain issues and discrepancies through good stakeholder engagement
  • Managing orders and delivery schedules
  • Analysis and reporting on program activities
  • Reconcile invoices and outstanding payments
  • Represent BDA SCM at customer/ vendor meetings and forums

Experience/Qualifications

  • Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS) knowledge, skills & experience.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and engagement with all levels of management
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
  • Ability to work successfully unsupervised and in a team environment.
  • High level communication and negotiation skills to facilitate open interaction between customer support teams, repair agencies and key internal and external stakeholders
