As a BDA employee, you will join other innovative, ethical people who have the critical skills required to develop and deliver world-class capabilities and systems to protect Australia and its national interests. Joining us is a chance to make your mark, working with a team that is united in pushing the boundaries of imagination and excellence.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the Battlespace Communication System (BCS) Program as we plan for future work. This role will see you applying your engineering and collaboration skills to either our core product, upgrading the capability to integrate with related maritime communications projects, or modernization of the joint air battlespace management system. We encourage innovative thinkers and problem solvers who are passionate about creating and enhancing cutting edge technologies, across the entire product lifecycle, to apply and join our dynamic team.

BCS is a next generation networking product that is the centrepiece for multiple projects and campaigns. The BCS combines both developmental and off-the-shelf hardware and software to provide world leading communications capability for users. It can be rapidly deployed from anywhere, and its modular design provides a flexible, scalable solution that can be customized for various mission needs.

In this role, you will leverage next generation technology, to support the warfighter in the rapidly evolving threat environment.

This position is primarily based in Brisbane CBD, though with some work expected at our test and production facility in Wacol.
