The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Officer - Avionics to join our P-8A Poseidon engineering team supporting the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF). Location
What you'll do
- Deliver engineering sustainment support for the RNZAF P-8A aircraft.
- Develop high quality engineering artefacts under our Engineering Management System, with opportunities to gain Engineering Authority.
- Produce, review and evaluate technical documents, instructions and investigation reports.
- Liaise with NZDF and industry stakeholders to identify, analyse and resolve technical issues rapidly and effectively.
- Help build and sustain a high-performing technical support team.
What we're looking for
- Solid aircraft technical knowledge, skills and experience (preferably defence aircraft), with a proven record of delivering technical outcomes.
- Strong capability in analysis, reporting and identifying system risks.
- Experience operating within a Technical Regulatory Framework (or equivalent).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
- Adaptability and initiative to provide technical support where it's needed across a broad range of Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAM) engineering activities.
