The opportunity

We are seeking a talented Senior Test & Evaluation Lab Technician to support Mechanical environmental MIL-STD and DEF-STAN standards testing in an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Accredited Laboratory supporting Boeing internal projects and external Clients. The role is based in Brisbane outer western suburbs.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, conducts and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and technologies. (Examples: Test procedures Vibration, Thermal, Low Pressure, and environmental tests).
  • Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities.
  • Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves laboratory and test-related problems.
  • Coordinates test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs.
  • Coaches and trains others.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Test & Evaluation technical support and analysis.
  • Qualifications in engineering or equivalent technical experience in a mechanical or electrical/electronic discipline.
  • Familiarity with engineering change processes.
  • Ex Military Technician experience desirable.
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance - Negative Vetting 1.
