The Opportunity

BDA is looking for Senior System Administrators in a growing team who will join the Engineering Strategy & Operations team, who are focused on creating Engineering excellence through diversity, culture, and strategic initiatives that will enable the workforce.

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing technical support to project teams, gathering, communicating and implementing technical requirements.
  • Building and administering AWS cloud and on-premises infrastructure, networks and IT services including Windows and Linux environments.
  • Troubleshooting and providing solutions to design challenges.
  • Producing documentation relevant to the project including design, manuals and test documents.
  • System administration ensuring the system meets project and security requirements.

To be successful you will have expertise in some of the below :

  •  Previous experience in a role performing system administration of an on-premises or cloud-based network.
  • Experience in administering system access controls and configuration controls.
  • Familiar with administering either Windows or Linux systems.
  • Proficient using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible) to automate system administration tasks and security controls.
  • Experience with patching software and firmware.
  • Experience implementing security controls and system hardening. Knowledge of managing compliance with relevant security standards such as ISM is desirable.
  • An awareness of CI/CD.
  • Experience with cloud-based backup and restore process and implementation.
