The opportunity

Boeing is seeking an experienced Fast Jet Aircrew or Air Battle Manager to join the Virtual Warfare Centre in Brisbane as an Operations Analyst (OA).

The Phantom Works Australia team has been providing decision support services to the Australian Defence Force, other government agencies and US Boeing Defence and Space for more than fifteen years. Our operations analysts' experience and in-depth domain understanding, coupled with the expertise of our hardware and software engineers, provides tailored analysis activities to meet the needs of our customers.

The OA's primary responsibility will be to act as a domain SME conducting modelling and simulation-based analysis to support concept development and decision making as part of Boeing, Defence, and National Security projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Modelling and simulation based analysis of military operations and advanced concepts
  • Provision of SME advice to PW and wider Boeing projects
  • Collaboration across multi-skill teams to develop simulation environments
  • Briefing of senior Boeing, Defence, and Government members on analytical outcomes and implications.

Experience/Qualifications

  • A desire to understand how advanced autonomy will impact future military operations
  • 5+ years post qualification platform/domain experience
  • Experience in the integration of 4.5 and 5th generation capabilities within Tier 1 exercises, as well as the employment of tactical datalinks and sensors within a contested environment.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a agile environment.
  • Operational experience, and/or additional warfare qualifications will be favorably looked upon.
