The opportunity

As one of the country's leading and preferred Defence partners, Boeing Defence Australia develops and sustains leading edge technologies for some of Australia's largest and most complex Defence projects.

We are seeking an energetic and talented Project Officer to support our Project Management Team in the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects at our Geraldton site. As part of a high performing team, you will apply your skills and experience in managing subcontractors and project work sites. You will be making a meaningful contribution in supporting the capabilities of our National Security Community customer, the Australian Signals Directorate - ASD

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the work of subcontractors and others to provide project deliverables and comply with site security and safety requirements.
  • Assist to identify suppliers and to coordinate and oversee supplier activities.
  • Support the Projects Team to identify, scope and execute projects.
  • Assist to continually improve project processes, procedures and standardization.

 Experience/Qualifications

  • Construction work site management or supervision experience.
  • Trade qualifications and/or experience desirable but not essential.
  • Project management qualifications and/or experience desirable but not essential.
  • High level communication and negotiation skills with a strong focus on building successful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.

Security Clearance:  You will be required to successfully undergo a positive vetting security clearance process. Therefore, you MUST be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and MUST have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time.
