The Opportunity

Are you passionate about helicopters and keen to teach the next generation of aviation maintainers? Boeing Defence Australia is recruiting a B1.3 Technician Aircraft Maintenance Instructor/Assessor to join the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Maintenance Training Team at the Army Aviation Training Centre, Swartz Barracks, Oakey, QLD.

This role will see you deliver CH-47F academic and on‑the‑job training to prepare confident, competent aircraft maintenance technicians for the Oakey Qld based MLSS program supporting RSAF operations in Australia.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver CH-47F B1.3 aircraft type and associated maintenance support training (theory and practical) in accordance with Learning Management Packages (LMPs) and schedules.
  • Act as CH-47F Course Manager as required.
  • Develop and continuously improve training package materials and assessment instruments.
  • Maintain and support training aids and simulators at the appointed Training Facility.
  • Maintain currency on the CH-47F as a maintainer and support development of the emerging training system.
  • Provide day-to-day student support and stakeholder engagement across the MLSS program in Oakey.

Who we're looking for

  • Demonstrated CH-47F Aircraft Type Qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum ~10 years' experience as a Rotary Wing B1.3 aviation maintainer, aviation supervisor or maintenance manager.
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Aircraft) is required.
  • Australian citizenship (Defence security requirement).

Desirable

  • Experience delivering technical training.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for multi‑trade team environments.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or willingness to obtain it.
  • Understanding of DASA Part 147 and Part 66 regulations.
  • Demonstrated courseware development, instructor/mentor and coaching skills.
