The Opportunity -

The AH-64E Apache is the world's most advanced and proven attack helicopter. It integrates innovative technologies to aid the crew in decision making, offering a new level of battlefield dominance through enhanced performance, increased situational awareness, superior survivability, and improved target detection, acquisition and engagement.

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Life Support Fitter Supervisor, to join the AH-64E Apache helicopter program.  The Australian Apaches will join the growing global fleet of more than 1280 aircraft operating in 18 countries, including coalition and regional partners.

This role is based in Townsville working alongside the Army customer.

As an Aircraft Life Support Fitter at Boeing you will:

  • Be an integral part of the Apache capability.
  • Be competent in all aircraft life support processes inclusive of aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance, modification and planning documentation.
  • Be able to work within a dynamic team and be able to respond effectively to changing requirements.
  • Manage the delivery of Aircraft Life Support Equipment services around the operational requirements of Apache.

This role is expected to commence in February 2026. 

About you

To be considered in this role you will have:

  • Cert IV in Aeronautical Life Support Equipment (or equivalent).
  • Apache Aircraft Familiarisation (CoA Provided).
  • A minimum of ten years of military or commercial aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Maintain and manufacture soundproofing, soft furnishings and aircraft flooring (highly desirable).
  • Explosive ordnance supervisor (highly desirable).
  • Experience with ADF products and processes on larger aircraft or rotary wing platforms (desirable).
  • Meet Defence security and ITAR requirements
