The Opportunity Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides expertise, processes and tools to manage aircraft design, repair and continuing airworthiness capabilities to a range of customers. Within BDA Engineering, we have a team named The Office of Airworthiness (OAW) to ensure airworthiness of the platforms we support and ensure BDA meets its regulatory obligations. Within the OAW, our goal is to develop an airworthiness team that participates at the global level. We currently have a close-knit team that works across our platforms at BDA with reach into our UK and US operations. Our team has exposure to work on a number of exciting programs and projects across the breadth of Boeing, which more immediately would include the following platforms (E-7A Wedgetail, P-8A Poseidon, CH-47 Chinook, F-18 Super Hornet and the MQ-28 Ghost Bat), as well as providing support to our commercial aeroplane operations in Seattle. In this role, the immediate focus will be on the E-7A Wedgetail, with the title of Delegate of the Chief Office of Airworthiness. This is one of our most senior technical airworthiness roles on the platform. The successful candidate will provide technical governance to the certification process, manage the platform's relationship with our regulator DASA, and provide mentoring to both certification colleagues, and the wider E-7 engineering workforce. The successful candidate will be afforded a mentor within the OAW and will be supported by the Chief Office of Airworthiness and Certification Manager for BDA.
