The Opportunity

 

As we continue our journey to deliver unparalleled capability, we are seeking exceptional Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures professionals to support the MQ-28A Program at RAAF Base Amberley. You will be responsible for:

  • Structures aircraft and component servicing
  • Undertaking structures Quality Inspection activities
  • Completion of assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of activities, requiring the application of training provided in accordance with the appropriate documentation
  • Ensuring all maintenance tasks carried out are IAW the applicable Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and certified in the maintenance documentation
  • Promoting a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with EH&S policies and procedures
  • Liaising with 21J Design Organisation and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation in relation to repair design and incorporation.

 

What you will bring to BDA

With a passion for innovation and delivering excellence, you will bring true inspiration and leadership in enabling and empowering your team to deliver industry leading maintenance services within a unique environment. You will also have

  • Certificate IV in Aero skills (Structures)
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) procedures
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures
  • Hold a C class driver's license
  • Ability to obtain an Australian Negative Vetting 1 security clearance

Desirable

  • Composite repair training IAW DASR 145.A.30(f) AMC1. Composite Specialist Course (216309) or equivalent Adhesive Bonding Techniques (112570)
  • Composite and Bonding recertification - currency within the last 3 years (36 months)

 

This role may require travel and periods working away from home. It's a great chance to immerse yourself in a different environment with our customer while carrying out the duties of the role

Security Clearance

You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance ( Negative Vetting 1) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time.
