The Opportunity

BDA is looking for a Modelling and Optimisation Analyst who will join the Air Combat and Electronic Attack Sustainment Program (ACEASP) team.  In this role you will working in the Modelling and Simulation Decision Support team, aiding in deployment of BDA support system modelling and analysis tools to identify opportunities and formulate recommendations which improve the overall performance of ACEA support systems.

This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD.

As a Modelling and Optimisation Analyst within BDA, you will be a:

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Demonstrated expertise in analysing and validating large, complex data sets, preferably within aviation maintenance and/or supply‑support environments.
• Proficiency in programming (e.g., VBA, Python, C#) and/or database query languages (e.g., SQL).
• Experience developing model‑based solutions (for example, the OPUS Suite) is desirable.
• Knowledge of fleet planning and support, support‑system analysis, or related logistics engineering standards is advantageous.

This role will commence in January 2026.
