The opportunity

We are seeking a talented Engineering Manager – E-7 Airborne Mission Segment (AMS) Sustainment to support a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the E-7A Wedgetail. The role is based in Amberley.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume the role of Responsible Accountable Authority (RAA) for the collective success of Sustainment Deeper Maintenance Engineering Support and Execution.
  • Lead the delivery of assigned scope elements, ensuring oversight of cost impacts, schedule adherence, safety, security, and quality accountability.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the scope, team requirements, and necessary skills to achieve project objectives, collaborating with relevant domains to ensure these needs are met.
  • Facilitate integration with Maintenance, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Development program teams to ensure aligned planning and execution of deeper maintenance servicings.
  • Promote continuous improvement through effective engineering communications aimed at reducing deeper maintenance timeframes, thereby optimizing aircraft availability.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in engineering practices, execution methodologies, and operational workflows.

 Experience/Qualifications

  • Formal Engineering Qualifications
  • 5+ years of proven aerospace engineering experience
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
