The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Loadmaster Instructor.  In this role you you will deliver innovative training on cutting edge technology simulation and training devices for the C-17A Training SystemThis isn't just another job - it's an opportunity to shape the future of loadmaster training in Air mobility.  

This role is based onsite at RAAF Base Amberley.

As a Loadmaster Instructor you will:

  • Instructing and assessing performance of students in the C-17 Loadmaster station, C-17 Cargo compartment trainer, flight line, classrooms, learning centre and other aircrew training environments
  • Instructing students on ADF policies, standard operating procedures & documentation
  • Maintaining currency and proficiency in loadmaster-based airborne and ground instructional techniques
  • Participating in the required training and testing to ensure personnel are certified and competent, and devices meet the required fidelity standards.
  • Assisting the PST&M Capability as required.

To be considered for the role you will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years Loadmaster experience on military aircraft
  • At least 2 years or 200 hours as a Loadmaster instructor on C-17 aircraft.
  • Have achieved accredited training in Crew Resource Management and Aviation Risk Management
  • Completed a formal loadmaster instructor training course
  • Military airdrop experience
  • C-17 Airdrop experience is essential

Must be an Australian Citizen and meet Defence security requirements (NV1).
