We are seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics to join our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team at RAAF Base Amberley. In this exciting role, you will support the EA-18G Growler and work alongside the Australian Defence Force, united in our mission to ensure aircraft readiness for critical tasks.
We are seeking an experienced Aviation Maintenance (145 / MRO) Professional as we establish an ALQ-99 Intermediate Level Maintenance (ILM) Capability. The ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System (TJS) is the EA-18G's primary non-kinetic weapons system providing critical effects in support of Air, Sea, and Land units.
Your expertise will be essential in keeping the ALQ-99 TJS operational, and you'll take pride in knowing your work directly contributes to the safety and effectiveness of the Australian Defence Force. If you have a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) with at least two years of experience, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Your knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance procedures and experience as a maintenance certifier or trade supervisor will make you an asset to our team.

In this fulfilling position, you will report to the ALQ-99 manager, coordinate maintenance tasks, sign for completed work, and assist with the operation of the ALQ-99 facility. Persons applying for this position will be required to undertake initial 3 months ALQ-99 training with a follow-on period of On the Job (OJT) training for period of up to 9 months in Whidbey Island USA. ALQ-99 ILM AV technicians will be required to support annual training exercises and operations within Australia and Internationally.
