The opportunity

We are seeking a Supply Base Management Specialist to join the cutting-edge Autonomous Air Vehicle Team, providing technical supply chain expertise, planning and warehouse operations oversight. This position plays an essential role in carrying out effective management and resolving issues that prevent inventory and assets from being processed effectively throughout the supply chain. This position requires close collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure on time delivery of equipment and parts into the factory build site at Wellcamp.

This is a developing role on a green field site. As the production facility is built, this role is essential to coordinate all on-site supply chain activities at Wellcamp. Once facility is commissioned this role will transition to warehouse management, ensuring people and part coordination to support production requirements

 Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure on time deliveries to support fit out and commissioning of the Wellcamp site
  • Provide supply chain guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Produce and present supply chain status reports to educate factory build & commissioning schedule
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for best solutions to minimise daily impacts to schedule
  • Develop and maintain relationships of trust and honesty with all internal customers and external stakeholders
  • Provide support to onsite enquiries relating to delivery schedule, system processes and forecast requirements
  • Forecast supply chain risks, impacts and provide mitigation plans to proactively manage
  • Identify and investigate items impacting factory fit out and commissioning schedules
  • Lead the warehouse design, fit out and commissioning process. 

The Future

  • Provide supply chain guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Produce supply chain status reports for production readiness
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for best solutions to minimise shortage impacts on production schedules
  • Provide support to production enquiries relating to stock availability, system processes and forecast requirements
  • Perform production readiness reviews and formulate and implement action plans for production rate changes.
  • Forecast supply chain risks, impacts and provide mitigation plans to proactively manage
  • Identify and investigate items impacting aircraft production schedules
  • identify and implement supply chain process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce cost
  • Forecast warehouse staff requirements to meet production support and rate changes
  • Manage the general operations of the warehouse and staff 

Experience/Qualifications:

  • A sound understanding of Supply Chain methodology and processes
  • Previous experience in Integrated Logistics Fundamentals
  • Ability to identify supply chain requirement, take accountability and ownership
  • Ability to identify, establish and promote supply process improvements
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling open and effective communication among stakeholders
  • Competent in the use of PC, MS Windows and MS Office suite
  • Defence Industry experience will be highly regarded
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet NV1 security clearance requirements.
  • Ability to work successfully autonomously and in a team environment.
