The Opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia's Sustainment Operations team is looking for an Engineering Product Lifecycle Management Manager to support a team of experienced Configuration and Data Management Specialists in various programs across the country. As a part of this role you will bring a strong focus on fostering a positive culture and support the growth of our team members and their development.

This role is based in Brisbane or Amberley.

As an Engineering Product Lifecycle Management Manager you will:

  • Lead a team of employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), specifically within the Configuration and Data Management specialty areas.
  • Contribute to and support the existing open, inclusive and innovative team culture.
  • Effectively interface with external customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports to provide advice or direction.
  • Actively engage with the team and support them on their career journey, identifying and communicating business / individual priorities and development opportunities and feedback.
  • Liaise with execution and functional managers across the business to provide workforce planning in accordance with business / project requirements
  • Assist with the development and implementation of business process within the PLM skill stream in alignment with standards, regulations and best practice.
  • Assist with the development of internal training packages to support the growth of the team and the business to better understand the PLM Skill Stream and the PLM Area of Practice.
  • Provide ongoing support to the development, implementation and control of the business PLM tools.
  • Enforce company rules and policies regarding ethical behaviour, safety, security, the use of company property and information.

To be considered for the role you will have:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a technical environment, preferably within the defence industry
  • Relevant qualifications and experience within the Configuration and Data Management specialty areas
  • Experience using a Product Lifecycle Management system, electronic document management system, or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
