Boeing Defence Australia -Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team, are seeking experienced Aviation Maintenance (145 / MRO) Professionals to support the F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler platform in the Modification and Deeper Level maintenance facility at RAAF Base Amberley. Be part of a team that is at the cutting edge of new emerging technologies. Collaborate with the Department of Defence and other Defence industry partners to advance the nations defensive capabilities.

 

Your role:  

  • Structures aircraft and component servicing
  • Provide direction and supervision as necessary
  • Undertake structures Quality Inspection activities
  • Completion of assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of activities, requiring the application of training provided in accordance with the appropriate documentation
  • Ensuring all maintenance tasks carried out are IAW the applicable Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and certified in the maintenance documentation
  • Promoting a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with EH&S policies and procedures
  • Liaise with 21J Design Organisation and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation in relation to repair design and incorporation

 

Accountabilities

  • Reporting to the assigned Maintenance Operations Manager.
  • Liaising with Boeing, Commonwealth and other Industry teams involved in maintenance operations at Amberley.
  • Ability to work in a team environment. 

 

Essential Experience / Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Aero skills (Structures)
  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) procedures
  • Meet the security requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures
  • Hold a C class driver's license
  • Ability to obtain an Australian Negative Vetting 1 security clearance 

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Elevated Work Platform TLILIC2005A or equivalent
  • Work Safely at Heights RIIOHS204A or equivalent
  • Composite repair training IAW DASR 145.A.30(f) AMC1. Composite Specialist Course (216309) or equivalent Adhesive Bonding Techniques (112570)
  • Composite and Bonding recertification - currency within the last 3 years (36 months)
  • Confined Space training
  • Possess an Australian Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
