  • Fortnightly wage: AW1 - $2,818.84 + Super + Allowances
  • Roster: 38 hours per week.

Join our vibrant Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team as an Aerospace Worker - Aircraft Line Maintenance (ALM), supporting the Australia's new fleet of AH-64E Apache's at RAAF Base Townsville, Queensland.

Initially, you will spend your time as an Aerospace Worker undergoing training with Aviation Australia in Townsville to complete a Certificate (CERT) II in ALM.  This will give you the necessary underpinning skills and qualifications before embarking on an exciting Apache career.

We are chasing enthusiastic, committed and driven individuals who, as an Aerospace Worker, will collaborate with Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and other aerospace professionals to perform a variety of maintenance and modification activities, including but not limited to:

  • Preparing aircraft for maintenance, repair, or modification.
  • Conducting inspections, special servicings, and rectifications.
  • Conduct aircraft flight-line handling duties.
  • Performing post-maintenance testing to ensure mission readiness.
  • Managing ground support equipment and adhering to technical instructions and maintenance documentation.
  • Reporting to the Maintenance Operations Manager and contributing effectively within a team.

Your Checklist for Success:

  • Ability to attend training with Aviation Australia to complete a CERT II in ALM
  • Pass all examinations to a 75% level to obtain a Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence (MAML)
  • Mechanical and/or avionics aptitude with a willingness to learn


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • C class driver's licence.
  • Australian Citizenship, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Prior aviation experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Our priority is finding candidates who align with our team culture.


Security Clearance

You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a government security clearance (Negative Vetting 1) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life, i.e. birth to present time.
