The opportunity

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our Change Management Team on the Australian Sustainment Services Contract (ASSC) Support Program for the C-17A platform based in RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland

In this fast-paced environment characterised by diverse daily challenges that keep the work interesting the Project Management Specialist is responsible to provide project management services for Australian C-17A capability enhancements, role equipment introduction and to support system change. In this role requires excellence in stakeholder communication as well as the ability to utilise your skills and knowledge to collaborate across the enterprise making customer priorities ours while shaping the future.

As a Project Coordinator you will:

  • Supporting project establishment and transition activities
  • Supporting project execution best practice assessments and improvement activities
  • Planning, executing and reporting  activities and performance
  • Planning and coordination of C-17A Enterprise change and baseline management activities
  • Driving continuous improvement within the team

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Project Management Qualifications (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in the management of project scope, schedule, cost and quality
  • Experience in building and sustaining collaborative relationships in a matrix environment that consists of both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience operating within a project management team, supporting project and employee development and resourcing, processes and tools
  • Experience working within a Defence System Program Office
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management tools
  • Understanding of aviation regulatory framework or eagerness to learn

Security Clearance

You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a government security clearance (Negative Vetting One) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time.
