The Opportunity 

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking a motivated Security Advisor to join our Global Security Activity (GSA) Team. While experience in Defence or Defence Industry roles is valuable, we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds who have a strong interest in security and protective services.

This role is based in Williamtown, NSW.

As a Security Advisor, you will:

  • Support Boeing Defence Australia and its customers in managing program security requirements and compliance activities;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and Boeing staff;
  • Manage daily and reactive security administrative tasks in collaboration with the Senior Security Advisor and Global Security function;
  • Assist in the management of Boeing assets and facilities;
  • Deliver security briefings and training sessions regularly;
  • Provide protective security advice to support secure area management; and
  • Support Emergency Management activities within the Williamtown region.

 

About you

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Experience in security, risk management, or related fields — Defence experience is a plus but not essential;
  • A general understanding of security principles and practices, with a willingness to learn Defence Security Frameworks and procedures;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across teams;
  • The ability to quickly attain the Defence Security Officer Course if not already completed; and
  • Eligibility for a minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Australian Government Security Clearance, with the potential to obtain NV2.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
