The Opportunity
In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.
We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer - Avionics to support a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the E-7A Wedgetail. Working in the Sustainment team we are responsible for current and emerging customer needs. This role will be based at our Adelaide, Amberly or Williamtown Office.
As an Electrical Engineer - Avionics within BDA, you will:
- Development of diverse engineering solutions for integrated avionics, COTS equipment and custom electrical power, simulation and control systems.
- Installation of system hardware infrastructure and associated connectivity.
- Development of engineering documentation and configuration management of system hardware infrastructure.
- Work with the project team to ensure the engineering scope is delivered within the quality, schedule and budgetary constraints of the project
- The ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team, in a conscientious and inclusive way.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Familiarity with engineering change processes.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence NV1 security requirements.
- Have experience working in the Avionics domain on civil or Defence aircraft.
- Commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
- Have proven high level of written and oral communication skills.
- Have experience working within a Technical Regulatory Framework (or similar).
