Imagine being part of a team that plays a crucial role in the safety and effectiveness of the Royal Australian Air Force. At Boeing Defence Australia, we invite you to embark on this journey as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics within our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team at RAAF Base Amberley.
In this role, you'll support the EA-18G Growler, a vital asset in our mission to ensure aircraft readiness for critical operations. Picture yourself collaborating closely with the Royal Australian Air Force, united in a common goal: to keep our aircraft prepared for any challenge that comes their way. Growlers play a vital role in modern military operations by ensuring air superiority and protecting friendly forces through their electronic warfare capabilities.
As we establish our ALQ-99 Intermediate Level Maintenance (ILM) Capability, your expertise will be essential in maintaining the advanced electronic warfare systems for the EA-18G. Your contributions will directly impact operational readiness, providing critical support across Air, Sea, and Land units.
If you hold a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) and have at least two years of experience, this is your chance to shine. Your knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance procedures and experience as a maintenance certifier or trade supervisor will make you a valuable member of our team.
At Boeing, health and safety are not just priorities; they are part of our culture. You'll be expected to champion these standards by adhering to Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures. We're looking for a team player who communicates effectively and approaches tasks with a proactive mindset. A willingness to learn and a passion for working in a supportive, close-knit environment are key to thriving in this role.
Your Commitment to Training and Team Support: Applicants for this position will be required to complete an initial 3 months of ALQ-99 training, followed by up to 9 months of On-the-Job training in Whidbey Island, USA. Additionally, you will be expected to support annual training exercises and operations both within Australia and internationally.
You don't need a background in Defence aviation to succeed! We encourage all members of the aviation trades industry to apply. If you hold Fixed or Rotary Wing qualifications and have experience in General, Civil, or Defence Aviation, we want to hear from you.
Join us and be part of something extraordinary. Together, we can ensure that Australia's Air Force is always ready to take on the challenges ahead. Your journey starts here!
