The opportunity

The Boeing MQ28 - Ghost Bat - is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities. Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years.

We are seeking a skilled MQ-28 Tactical Datalink Test Technician to join our dynamic Analysis, Integration and Test team. 

As a Systems Engineering Technician you will apply your datalinks experience to support MQ-28 in achieving operational authority of their datalinks capability as a member of the Analysis Integration and Test team to enhance the MQ-28 platform.

The role is based in Brisbane.

Responsibilities

  • Support conduct of test and evaluation activities, to achieve the required outcomes.
  • Evaluate communication messages to validate platforms meet standards for TDL network interoperability.
  • Develop technical documentation, including plans, processes and procedures to support the ongoing development and improvement of test execution.
  • Develop experience with emerging TDL capabilities and their introduction into new and existing systems to meet future ADF interoperability requirements and in support of future projects.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience in Data Communication and/or Tactical Data Links.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyse test data.
  • Experience with software testing in a software environment is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with Australian Defence Force platforms is highly regarded.
