The Opportunity

We are seeking a Traning Designer and Developer to support the Battlespace Communication System (BCS) Program - a next generation communications system that combines both developmental and off the shelf hardware and software to provide world leading communications capability for ADF personnel. It can be rapidly deployed from anywhere, and its modular design provides a flexible, scalable solution that can be customized for various mission needs.

As a training Instructional Systems Designer you will provide the full spectrum of training support for the BDA Battlespace Communications System (BCS) training team located in Brisbane, Queensland.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Involvement in the Training Needs Analysis process
  • Conduct of the design and development of training artefacts
  • Development of innovative, relevant and engaging training solutions
  • Conduct of evaluations and update of training artefacts
  • SME support for instructors in their preparation and conduct of training
  • Effective engagement with customer representatives and subject matter experts.

To be successful you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the development of the full spectrum of training (essential)
  • Experience with the development of training in the defence environment (desirable)
  • Interpersonal skills to work in a multi-team environment.
