Boeing Defence Australia is looking for an Aviation Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Senior Manager to join the Boeing team in support of the Republic of Singapore Air Force Maintenance & Logistics Support Services Contract. In this role you will be supporting the RSAF CH-47F Aircraft fleet and as the Aviation Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Senior Manager, you will be an essential member of the program's core leadership team, influencing the program's direction by overseeing the Line and Base Maintenance service delivery. Additionally, you will provide guidance and leadership to the Maintenance Control and Planning teams ensuring the team achieves required contractual outcomes. This scope of work is to be achieved through effective management of both Boeing and customer governance and assurance compliance.

The role is based onsite at the Army Aviation Training Centre, Swartz Barracks Oakey.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership and management experience in a large and complex organisation.

As the Aviation Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Senior Manager on the RSAF CH47 Program, you will

  • Lead with Excellence: Provide leadership and management to our Maintenance Team, driving exceptional performance and results.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work closely with Boeing and RSAF leadership to integrate efforts and deliver outstanding outcomes.
  • Oversee Major Operations: Manage the deployment of Boeing personnel during customer deployments and exercises.
  • Optimise Maintenance Schedules: Ensuring fleet and maintenance staggers provide daily flying program needs and long term sustainable fleet health
  • Uphold Standards: Ensure adherence to Boeing policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Foster Team Development: Use your exceptional soft skills to lead and manage a team of over 50 technical personnel, promoting safety, harmony, and professional growth.
  • Drive Ethical Practices: Ensure that team objectives are met while upholding our ethical values and compliance with legislative, DASR, ISO, and Boeing standards.

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold formal qualifications in either Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, Project Management or Technical Discipline.
  • Have demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams of technical personnel, ideally in within an aviation maintenance environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance customer and business priorities to meet required outcomes.
  • Have previous experience in working within a high paced operational environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate between stakeholders of differing cultural backgrounds and experience
  • Business acumen to ensure prioritisation and pragmatic deconfliction of stakeholder competing needs
  • Emotional intelligence to intuitively identify and action stakeholders needs when conducting business in a high tempo environment
  • Familiarity with ISO standards related to Quality Management Systems, Safety Management Systems, and Environmental Management Systems.
