We are seeking professional and experienced Maintenance Controllers to join our innovative Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the Air Combat Electronic Attack (ACEA) program, at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland. This is not just a job; it's an opportunity to work on cutting-edge 4th Generation Strike Fighter pivotal to Australia's defence.

You don't need a background in Defence aviation to be successful! We encourage all members of the Aviation trades industry to apply. If you hold Fixed or Rotary Wing qualifications and have experience in General, Civil, or Defence Aviation, we would love to hear from you.

To thrive in this position, you should possess a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics or Mechanical) and a Military Aircraft Maintenance License (MAML) desirable. Whilst prior FA-18F & EA-18G experience is a plus, a solid working knowledge of aircraft maintenance servicing's and a knack for leading and building strong relationships within your team will set you a part.

We're looking for a team player with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to task management. A willingness to learn and a passion for working in a close-knit team that upholds our carefully crafted positive culture are essential for success in this role. What you need to know

  • Roster: 4 days a week with capacity to surge, requiring flexibility in working hours and locations.
  • Allowances provided as necessary, including Per Diems for travel-related expenses.
  • Parking and canteen facilities available onsite.
  • Relocation assistance is considered for the right applicant.

The skills needed for success include:

  • Proficiency in aircraft maintenance task management
  • Strong computer application knowledge: MS Word, PP, Excel etc.
  • Understanding of Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) compliance and documentation certification.
  • Commitment to a safe work environment and adherence to Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) regulations.
  • Previous experience with FA-18F & EA-18G is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Practical experience in a CAMM2 maintenance environment (12 months is desirable)

Necessary requirements

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics or Mechanical)
  • Current B/C MAML or the ability to obtain (desirable).
  • Computer Aided Maintenance Management (CAMM2) System qualifications
  • C class driver's license.

Security Clearance

You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a government security clearance (Negative Vetting 1) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time.
