The Opportunity -

The AH-64E Apache is the world's most advanced and proven attack helicopter. It integrates innovative technologies to aid the crew in decision making, offering a new level of battlefield dominance through enhanced performance, increased situational awareness, superior survivability, and improved target detection, acquisition and engagement.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Controller (CAMM2) to support the AH-64E ApacheHelicopter program.  The Australian Apaches will join the growing global fleet of more than 1280 aircraft operating in 18 countries, including coalition and regional partners

This role is based in Townsville working alongside the Army customer.

As the Maintenance Controller (CAMM2) you will:

  • Be an integral part of the Apache capability.
  • Conducts initial asset inspection and reception into the CAMM2 maintenance database.
  • Supports the maintenance planning and data quality for the Maintenance Managed Items for Apache warehouse components.
  • Support management of Aircraft Maintenance Documentation (AMD) including archiving.
  • Reconciles maintenance plans to accommodate operational unscheduled events (if required).
  • Supports maintenance status briefings with internal and external Apache stakeholders.
  • Maintenance interface between the Primary Storage Warehouse and operational Unit/Army Support Battalion.
  • Assist CAMM2 users whenever difficulties are encountered (as needed).
  • Detect and correct errors to maintain the integrity of the CAMM2 Database.
  • Compare CAMM2 default policy to CAMM2 asset policy for MMIs, engines, APUs and associated components within their CAMM2 venue, and perform corrections as required.
  • Continually monitor the status of aircraft and MMI modifications and STIs for stored (uninstalled) MMIs.
  • Prepare and explain CAMM2 reports as required.
  • Perform duties of Unit Inspection Officer as required.


About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Computer Aided Maintenance Management (CAMM2) System qualifications.
  • Practical experience in a CAMM2 maintenance environment (2 years is desirable).
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
  • Previous Aircraft Trade experience is mandatory.
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office products (in particular excel and project).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
