The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented DevOps software engineer to support the world class E-7A Wedgetail airborne surveillance and communications platform. The role is based in either Brisbane or Williamtown.

As part of the Mission Systems DevOps team, you will be a key member supporting the code build, code deployment and code development environment maintenance of state-of-the-art airborne Mission Systems software. 

Responsibilities

  • Enhance software development environments to improve the build and deployment process and troubleshoot issues with technical experience and expertise.
  • Ensure systems and processes meet security, business and customer needs. Supporting developers and testers with good practice.
  • Work as part of a team contributing to security planning and implementation in the software development environment and production systems.
  • Support the build and deployment of airborne Mission Systems software.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Qualifications in engineering or equivalent technical experience in software and DevOps. (RPEQ &/or CPEng desirable).
  • Prior experience in the IT industry where you gained system admin skills and have worked with various software development and configuration management tools is desirable.
  • Window and Linux experience, including virtualisation and networking knowledge is an advantage.
