Boeing Defence Australia

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics

Who we are:

Embark on a journey where your contributions truly matter, collaborating with a vibrant and diverse team dedicated to redefining the frontiers of innovation and excellence.

At Boeing Defence Australia, a proud wholly owned subsidiary, we are at the forefront of shaping the future of aerospace, delivering critical sustainment programs for the Australian Defence Force that are vital to our nation's security.

You will be part of a dynamic, engaging, and authentic team that takes pride in the impactful work we do for the Australian Defence Force.

A career with Boeing means joining a global leader in the aerospace industry—where, with us, the sky is just the beginning of your potential.

Why This Role is Perfect for You!

Elevate your career by joining our innovative Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the Chinook CH-47 program in Townsville, Queensland. This is not just a job; it's an opportunity to work on cutting-edge systems and associated equipment in a dynamic and engaging environment.

You don't need a background in Defence aviation to be successful! We encourage all members of the Aviation trades industry to apply. If you hold Rotary Wing qualifications and have experience in General, Civil, or Defence Aviation, we would love to hear from you.

We understand the importance of work-life balance, which is why we offer a work pattern with day and evening shift rotations. Some of your responsibilities will include structural aircraft and component servicing, undertaking quality inspection activities and ensuring all maintenance tasks carried out are IAW the applicable Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and certified in the maintenance documentation. You will also be expected to foster a culture of safety in the workplace.

To thrive in this position, you should possess a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) and a knack for building strong relationships within your team. While a current B1 MAML is a plus, your previous experience with Rotary Wing Aircraft and proven knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 Aircraft Maintenance Regulatory Framework will set you apart.

Health and safety are our top priorities, and you'll be expected to champion these standards by following Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.

We're looking for a team player with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to task management. A willingness to learn and a passion for working in a close-knit team that upholds our carefully crafted positive culture are essential for success in this role. Join us and be part of something extraordinary!
