The Opportunity
Join our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Avionics, supporting the CH-47F Chinook at RAAF Base Townsville in North Queensland. Work alongside the Australian Defence Force to maintain advanced avionics and electrical systems, directly contributing to their mission readiness.
Responsibilities
As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you'll manage the maintenance, modification, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your work will ensure that the Chinook fleet remains operational and ready for critical missions. You'll perform various maintenance activities, certify work, and mentor junior technicians, helping to build a skilled workforce in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Experience / Qualifications
Security Clearance
Candidates must successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Negative Vetting 1) sponsored by BDA. This requires full disclosure of relevant information and the ability to verify your background from birth to present.
