The Opportunity -  

The AH-64E Apache is the world's most advanced and proven attack helicopter. It integrates innovative technologies to aid the crew in decision making, offering a new level of battlefield dominance through enhanced performance, increased situational awareness, superior survivability, and improved target detection, acquisition and engagement.

We are seeking an experienced Publications Specialist, to support the AH-64E Apache Helicopter program.  The Australian Apaches will join the growing global fleet of more than 1280 aircraft operating in 18 countries, including coalition and regional partners.

The role is based in Enoggera, Brisbane with the Army customer in an integrated Attack Helicopter System Program Office (AHSPO).

As the Publications Specialist you will: 

  • Be an integral part of the Apache capability.
  • Supporting the development and ongoing management of all digital publications pertaining to the Apache capability.
  • Collecting, researching and analysing source data.
  • Maintaining interfaces with all internal and external digital publication sponsors.
  • Identifying source data inaccuracies and taking corrective action.
  • Supporting the maintenance of consolidated change request registers.
  • Conducting peer reviews of completed digital publication elements.
  • Participating in and conducting digital publication reviews.
  • Supporting the authoring of digital publications and digital publication updates.


This role is expected to commence 1 July 2025.


About you
 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Relevant experience in digital publications role.
  • Expert knowledge on digital publication management tools.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Experience operating within the aerospace or a highly technical industry sector.
  • Experience using Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) illustration software applications such as CorelDraw for technical graphic creation.
  • Aircraft experience desirable.
  • XML or SGML experience desirable.
