Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) are looking for an experienced Transition Project Manager to join the MQ-28 Program. This role is based in Brisbane and reports into the MQ-28 Program Integration Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development a Transition Framework to manage the Fundamental Inputs to Capability to transition to a RAAF led FMS.
  • Support the build-up of the BDA sustainment support system to meet the RAAF Operational Unit.
  • Plan and coordinate across the MQ-28 pillars for the BDA inputs to the initial Airworthiness Board.
  • Facilitation and integration though the MQ-28 pillars to plan and execute the Transition Plan through prioritising various activities.
  • Act as primary liaison alongside CASPO team to assist in managing other Defence agencies to meet milestones and deliver results.
  • Lead the preparedness of all Transition reporting in accordance with the MQ-28 operating rhythm.
  • Lead regular transition meeting with MQ-28 leaders and senior stakeholders to demonstrate progress and to inform decision making.
  • Coordination of project management related elements of Program Management Best Practice (PMBP) assessments.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to exert influence at multiple organisational levels.
  • High level communication and negotiation skills with a strong focus on building successful relationships and fostering with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Team orientated, dynamic, innovative and likes to think outside the square.
  • Prior Defence experience in support transition of acquisition projects and/or airworthiness boards is highly desirable.
  • Experience in applying project management skills in a high functioning, fast-paced environment
  • Formal Project Management, Engineering, Business or Management qualifications is desired; however, prior experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted industry project management standards.
